How to read this guide

BuildPilot separates official baseline requirements from our design target. A minimum or recommended spec does not guarantee the high-refresh target in this article, and our Builder estimates are not a substitute for a controlled benchmark.

Start with the official baseline—not the target

EA’s official recommended tier lists Windows 11, Ryzen 7 3700X or Core i7-10700, 16GB RAM, RX 6700 XT / RTX 3060 Ti / Arc B580, 8GB VRAM and an SSD.

EA also calls out TPM 2.0, UEFI Secure Boot and related platform requirements, which means compatibility is more than just CPU and GPU speed.

Official requirements tell you where support begins. They do not promise 1440p at 165 Hz; BuildPilot treats that as a separate performance-design target.

What matters most for this target

  • GPU throughput: 1440p high-refresh needs more than the official 60-ish class baseline.
  • CPU reserve: large multiplayer workloads punish weak frame-time consistency.
  • 16GB is the official baseline: a modern build may reasonably choose more for multitasking and longevity.
  • Platform security: confirm TPM/Secure Boot support before treating the build as complete.

Settings change the bottleneck

Lower graphics settings can help the GPU but do not eliminate CPU work from multiplayer simulation and draw-call demand.

That is why a recommendation should be tied to your intended preset rather than a generic “best GPU” label. The same monitor can produce two different sensible builds for competitive and image-quality players.

The BuildPilot decision

Aim for a balanced high-refresh platform rather than an ultra-expensive GPU attached to a weak CPU. Battlefield is exactly the kind of workload where both sides matter.

Use the preset to open the Builder, then enter your real budget. Compare the maximum-FPS profile with the balanced and upgradeable profiles instead of assuming the most expensive option is automatically the best.

What we will not promise

Game patches, maps, background software, drivers, memory configuration and thermal limits can all move performance. BuildPilot uses modeled estimates and component data; it does not claim a fixed FPS guarantee for every scene or patch.

Sources & verification

We use first-party sources for hard specifications whenever possible. The decision guidance around them is BuildPilot editorial analysis, not a claim of hands-on lab benchmarking.
